After three rounds in the Alois Nagler Memorial, a group of twelve grandmasters moved ahead of the field. With Super-GM Alexander Morozevich setting the pace, these grandmasters each retained all of their points even after Monday’s challenging double round. The prestige match between the former World Championship candidates Dreev und Portisch ended with a win for Dreev. The larger field of competitors with 2.5 points includes Swiss players IM Oliver Kurmann, GM Yannick Pelletier, FM Gérard Nüesch and IM Alexandre Vuilleumier. They are in good company. E.g. Indian GM Pentala Harikrishna ultimately drew against IM Daniel Alsina Leal after 68 moves, whereas promising German newcomer, GM Georg Meier, shook hands with IM Arnd Lauber after 18 moves. Eleven players still retain all their points in the Accentus (Schach Schweiz) Open. The Jubilee-Open continues into its 4th round on Tuesday, when events will include a total of ten games with grandmasters facing each other.
